This movie looks serrrrious...check out a quick preview and some picture galleries...This movie looks even crazier than the movie Sin Nombre (trailer down below) which came out March 20, 2009...Don't get me wrong Sin Nombre was an amazing movie...
Unfortunately, Christian Poveda was murdered on Wednesday, Sept. 2 , 2009 in San Salvador, just weeks before the release of La Vida Loca. Police said Poveda was shot to death, four bullets to the face. Poveda’s body was found alongside of his car; none of his expensive cameras or equipment was missing. read more

My musical savior, Manu Chao has just dropped an album for a psychiatric hospital that uses media as therapy:
For the past five years he’s been working with La Colifata, a Buenos Aires–based radio station run out of a psychiatric hospital that uses media as therapy. “With the help of a few friends, the patients decided to launch this radio station to express themselves. To relieve everything they have inside, and to speak to the world,” the singer has said.
Moved by their stories, he decided to produce a benefit album recorded by the station’s members. The result is La Colifata, 20 songs about everything from loneliness and love to tango and the pope, available here for a small donation that is completely up to you. If you need further proof of his unique relationship with the hospital’s residents, check out the video for “Rainin’ In Paradize,” which features an appearance by “Los Califatos,” as they’re known:

Jun 25th 2009...just received a text that read "R.I.P. Michael Jackson"!??? at first I'm thinking this has to be a joke, right? turned on the TV and forget it...it is all over...wow, shocking....but yet something has been wrong for a while... I have to say aside from all the craziness he will be missed. His contributions to music are just neverending and way too many for me to list...forget about all the people he has influenced. I mean Michael Jackson is known worldwide..literally... rest in peace
Dreamy electronic act RH+ will make their U.S. debut at the Bowery Ballroom on July 9th, following the recent release of their new album ‘Quintana Roo.’ With a sound that recalls groups like Broken Social Scene, Stereolab or Air, one may easily guess RH+ is a band from Toronto, London or Paris, rather than Santiago, Chile, deep in the heart of South America. Fusing indie rock with electronica, RH+’s music is characterized by their dueling male and female English vocals and atmospheric keyboard textures. (myspace)
I've been patiently waiting for the Gorillaz new album, Plastic Beach for a whiiiiiiiiiiiiile now. It is said to be the most pop-like album they've made, which makes me not too happy but features Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg, Bobby Womack, Barry Gibb, Mos Def, and The Horrors. It's really good to hear that Mos Def is in it...and hopefully De La Soul's joints will make it into the album, as well...
