Gorillaz - The Fall (Free Album)
It's only a 18 second teaser, but hey at least they are giving away a free album...don't forget to download the new Gorillaz album--recorded on an iPAD--available on X-mas day.
The music was recorded during spare time while on the road. "I did it because there's a lot of time that you just spend staring at walls essentially. And it was a fantastic way of doing it" says Damon Albarn. "I found working in the day, whether it's in the hotel or in the venue, it was a brilliant way of keeping myself well." Adding that the collection is "..like a diary, I literally wrote everything on the day in each place and there's a strange sort of sound of America and its musical traditions that comes through. It feels like a journey through America."
The 15 track sonic journal, titled The Fall, produced by Gorillaz and Stephen Sedgwick, will be available to download for free by Sub Division fan club members on Christmas Day and will also be streamed on Gorillaz.com from Christmas Day.

Blur: Fool's Day
Damon Albarn, one of the genius monsters behind The Gorillaz teams back up with Blur after a seven year hiatus to drop some fire for the third-annual Record Store Day...obviously they were sold out instantly and most of these ended up on eBay...I heard they were going for up to 200 Euros, since only 1,000 of them were printed...

Gorillaz Plastic Beach
(picture added 1/19/10)I've been patiently waiting for the Gorillaz new album, Plastic Beach for a whiiiiiiiiiiiiile now. It is said to be the most pop-like album they've made, which makes me not too happy but features Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg, Bobby Womack, Barry Gibb, Mos Def, and The Horrors. It's really good to hear that Mos Def is in it...and hopefully De La Soul's joints will make it into the album, as well...
