Chemical Brothers new album, Further
The Chemical Brothers are set to release their seventh studio album, Further, on June 8, 2010 on Freestyle Dust/Parlaphone/Astralwerks. This album is the band’s first to be released with corresponding films made specifically to match each of the 8 audio tracks. The films will be included on an iTunes LP and special edition DVD.
The band will also play select festivals in Europe including Sonar Festival in Barcelona before coming to the US for summer dates including gigs at the Hollywood Bowl on August 29 and Electric Zoo at Randall's Island in New York City on September 4.

All day long on Saturday, this tent will feature some of the most exciting alternative acts in Latin music today, along with top DJs, cutting edge video and visual art and more.
Los Angeles-based Ozomatli will headline the tent and serve as guest MCs during the day. Also featured will be Los Amigos Invisibles (USA/Venezuela), the Nortec Collective present: Bostich + Fussible (Mexico), Aterciopelados (Colombia), Mexican Institute of Sound (Mexico), and Bomba Estereo (Colombia). DJs from each of the groups will perform between sets creating a seamless musical experience throughout the day.

TANGO 3.0 is due out on April 19, 2010!! Damn, I can't wait for this album...I've been a fan of Gotan since the beginning!! now there are a gazillion groups imitating them and using their samples to make their own joints...
In 2000 Gotan Project, the trio founded by Philippe Cohen Solal, Eduardo Makaroff and Christoph H. Müller released their debut album «La revancha del tango”. With this record Gotan Project delivered the sweetest revenge for Tango, bringing the sexy music and the sound of Argentina to the world. Now the sound of Gotan Project is synonymous with cool and chic from the clubs of New York to the beaches of Rio de Janeiro.
With their second album “Lunático” (2006) Gotan Project breathed more live recording and jazz influence into their sound. Much imitated, Gotan Project has learned to appreciate the compliment and after 2 million sales and 400 concerts, they are back with their 3rd studio album the magnificent “Tango 3.0”.
“La revancha del tango” made it into The Guardian top 100 albums of the decade and now Tango 3.0 will lead the way into a new decade with its cinematic vision and its invocation of not only Buenos Aires but also the Mississippi delta blues from New Orleans to Nashville to the back streets of New York. “Tango 3.0” is Gotan Project’s new world order - get on board!

The tracklisting looks bonkers...it's a pretty all encompassing compilation of all the craziest electro/tango groups...not sure how I feel about the fact that this is put together by and being sold at Starbucks though...this is usually how good groups go commercial...ehhhh
